Saudi Arabia rejects UN seat

Saudi Arabia has accused the United Nations Organization to " double standards " and refused seat incomplete permanent place in the Security Council .
Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia said that the UN should be reformed . He referred to the failure in the case of Syria , as well as other global conflicts . In conflict Syria , Saudi Arabia came out in support of the rebels .
So far there is no official reaction from the UN , but diplomats have expressed surprise at such a decision .
Russian Foreign Ministry has called the action " baffling " and said that criticism of Saudi Arabia to the UN Security Council for action on Syria is " practically weird " .
The unprecedented decision came just hours after the country of the Middle East was first elected to sit in one of 10 countries round table in the Security Council . The mandate of the country's non-permanent member is two years while permanent member countries are the U.S. , Britain , France , China and Russia .
