In India, thousands of people are leaving their homes, to be transferred to higher areas, while India prepares for a massive cyclone along the eastern coast of the country.
The Indian government says it plans to evacuate 100 thousand people to safer areas before Cicloni Phailin hit the region tomorrow.
Officials in the states of Orissa and Andhra Pradesh quoted by VOA as saying Phailin expected to hit land with winds with speeds up to 220 kilometers per hour, while Meteorologists have warned that the cyclone could be strengthened to touch the ground.
Indian authorities have warned of massive damage to crops, destruction of old buildings, as well as termination of electricity, water and rail transport.
