These women have all their body full of bruises, with deep cracks and scars scattered everywhere.

However, this is not as a result of mistreatment, but a strange ritual that performs courtesy of Hamari, in Ethiopia.

Customs which originate from centuries ago claiming that through systematic beatings and perfeksiohen women reach their peak power.

In these rites, it is common for women and young girls whipped with twigs circumstantial sharp objects, until the skin splits and blood falls to the ground.

Beatings focused on the back left everlasting sign, but in this tribe, they are a motive of pride and respect and for this reason, women are the first ones that require the beaten and have to stop shouting during ritual.
